The unrivalled power-to-weight ratio of the lightweight 2-stroke engine makes it a true contender against the more complex 4-strokes. For MY 2017 the 300 XC features detail improvements and new colors and graphics, but basically retains the same chassis and engine specification as MY 2016. Features May Include: CYLINDERThe cylinder of the 300 XC is fitted with a sophisticated TVC (Twin Valve Control) power valve, providing adjustable power characteristics. The power character can be changed within a few seconds thanks to two supplied springs for different tracks and rider preference.CLUTCHThe KTM DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch is fitted with a diaphragm spring, which allows implementation of an internal rubber damping system. When purchased in 2001 from Dudley Perkins of San Francisco, the prior owner had every bit of factory direct chrome installed. It even has chrome on the inside of the rear wheel well. We had our local Harley Dealer internalize the electrical cables and replace the stock with braided cables. While there, we had an Easy Clutch installed and added sweep handle bars for ease in riding. Sturgis ready, you can ride fully decked out with bags, backrest and passenger seat, or convert to a stylish streamlined look that includes a custom Corbin shot-gun style seat. Bags and back rest have quick connects that allow for a quick change over. Removing the engine guard makes for a smoking look. And it is one sweet ride.
