Up for sale is a 2012 Honda NC700X, affectionately known as Norbert. It's an "adventure" bike, secret code for "standard/UJM + 1 inch extra suspension travel + a beak". In reality, it's a great all around/commuter bike. It has a low center of gravity, a handy frunk, excellent fuel economy, and a very upright seating position (especially with the risers on it). It's relatively light (472 pounds), easy to maneuver, and easy to maintain (SOHC, cable clutch). Key information/modifications: - 6965 miles - Personal average 65.5 MPG on Fuelly - Stebel Nautilus Compact air horn (w/relay) - Rox 2" adjustable angle bar risers - Honda OEM rear carrier and saddlebag brackets - Moose Racing Expedition Hard Case Large Trunk (no saddlebags included) - Seat Concepts front seat (comfort++), original seat also available - OEM windscreen + Zero Gravity tall windscreen - Givi drop bars + highway pegs and Barkbusters hand guards available at additional cost Asking $4500 for everything except the Givi drop bars and Barkbusters. Test rides OK with MC endorsement and gear.

I had planned to keep this wonderful bike for 100,000 mile and she has been ridden and maintained as such. Health issues force this sale. With 7,879 actual miles I've just completed her fourth oil change. The bike is flawless. About a grand in Honda factory accessories: rear carrier, tall wind screen, hard saddle bags. This NC has not had the heck run out of it like so many out there. Some call it a commuter bike, it may be. Some call it an "adventure" bike. I don't know about that. But it is a perfect day tripper and middle distance tourer. (i've owned 3 Moto Guzzis with combimed 300k miles) She carrys all the gear you'd ever want. Gets ridiculous mileage and is very easy to maneuver fully loaded at gas stations, rest areas and scenic stops. (believe me, a lot of bikes out there are a major pain in close quarters or on loose ground when fully loaded...I've been riding for over 40 years and have seen way too many slow speed or no speed dumps...will never happen with this bike) Please call or email questions. I will respond  as soon as I can. The Honda NC700X is a good motorcycle and this NC is in outstanding condition. You won't be disappointed. Oh, yes...I hate it when guys post pics of their bikes with people in the photo. Well the one pic is me leaving Indiana last September, a great photo of the Honda so here it is.

2014 Honda NC700 X, Honda’s new NC700X is a real breath of fresh air in today’s world of specialized motorcycles, a new concept in streetbikes, and one that puts the FUN in Functional. During the week it’s an awesome commuter. On the weekend it lets you go exploring in the country, or carve up a twisty canyon road. Light, nimble, and with an engine that offers a generous helping of useable torque, it’s all wrapped up in a package that’s big enough for longer rides, but not a handful in tight traffic or in a parking lot. And to sweeten the deal, it’s even available in two versions: one model features a conventional six-speed, manual-clutch transmission, while a second version is available with the latest generation of Honda’s exclusive automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Plus, the DCT version comes with Honda’s revolutionary Combined ABS!
