This bike is as classic 70's cool as it gets. Two stroke, all original, under 7k miles. Runs and drives perfect, tons of general maintenance done by previous owner a few years ago, new tires, battery, tune up last fall. All lights function properly, the brakes are as good as it gets for front & rear drum, and it will consistently start first or second kick. No issues with the transmission, engine runs strong, and the frame is in exceptional shape. The seat has expected wear for a 40+ year old motorcycle, also has minor surface rust on the spokes, forks, pipes, and other places with chrome. I think it has a really cool patina and haven't had anything re-chromed. The motorcycle does not have mirrors and has some paint fading on the top of the gas tank. The fuel petcock works but sometimes gets stuck so will probably need to be replaced (unless you don't mind wiggling it a few times). Bike is currently registered in CT so transfer won't be an issue

1972 Yamaha R5 This is my 1972 Yamaha R5 350. Matching Numbers bike. Frame: R5-109820 Engine: R5-109820 See pictures. I bought this bike a while back and had big ideas to restore it. I got in over my head and now just want to sell it. The bike ran fine but I though I would replace the pistons, and rings because I had started the bike when there was a bunch of dirt and small leaves in the air box, like a dummy. I should have known better. Anyways, I have the top end off now and the pistons off but now, I think I have the crank screwed up. Not sure. I was kicking it over fine and then it just kind of won't keep turning now. It doesn't seem frozen, but man am I an idiot. Oh well. But the rest of the bike is pretty nice and it is original so I figure it is well worth someone doing the remaining work. Sorry, but I am not a mechanic as I now realize. My loss is your gain. I had the title here last year, however we moved and I misplaced about 20 titles to bikes I own. If I find it, you get it. If not, I will gladly provide you a Notarized Bill of Sale. Thanks for your understanding. MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE PAY PAL ACCOUNT LINKED TO YOUR EMAIL. I SEND YOU AN INVOICE WHEN YOU WIN THE BIKE AND YOU PAY. EASY AND SIMPLE. NOW, AND AS SUCH, IT IS NOT A NEW MOTORCYCLE. IT CAN AND MAY HAVE LATENT DEFECTS. ALTHOUGH I TRY MY BEST TO DISCLOSE EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT THE BIKE, I CANNOT WARRANTY THE BIKE FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WARRANTY, PLEASE MOVE ON. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT REFUND ANY MONEY TO YOU. SO, IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO GETS BUYERS REMORSE, PLEASE MOVE ON. PLEASE, HAVE YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE SALE WHEN YOU BUY THE BIKE. I APPRECIATE THAT GREATLY. PLEASE HAVE YOUR ACTIVE PAY PAL ACCOUNT READY AND LINKED TO YOUR EMAIL SO I CAN SEND YOU AN INVOICE UPON YOU BUYING THE BIKE.READ AND ACCEPT THIS BEFORE YOU BUY: BY PURCHASING SAID MOTORCYCLE, I THE BUYER, AGREE THAT THIS MOTORCYCLE DOES NOT COME WITH ANY WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. 1972 Yamaha R5 350C (NOT R5b!) "The Giant Killer" For Sale Up for grabs is a sweet Yamaha R5C in surprisingly good condition for its 42 years. This is the first incarnation of the legendary RD series Yamaha 2 strokes, small displacement bikes affectionately known as The Giant Killers for their ability to beat larger displacement 4 stroke motorcycles in straight line performance, as well as dominate them on curvy roads because of their light weight and agile handling. It was purchased from a gentleman who bought it with the hope of restoring it until he found out he and his Wife were having their first child. After a fresh set of plugs and a thorough carb cleaning she fired right up. This beauty now needs a new home and is available in Atlanta, Georgia for $3200. The high stock bars have been replaced with lower, black K & N superbike bars, new levers and new grips. Also added are new, black bar end mirrors and brand new Dunlop tires. The electrical system has been completely restored so all signals, lights, horn and indicator lights work perfectly. Also fitted are new jets to go with the new free flow air filters. Almost all the vintage character has been left intact with the exception of wear items. The Mandarin Orange and Black tank and side covers are original. These old R5s are harder to find than the RDs, so it has been kept as close to original as possible. It is surprisingly fast for its size and a blast to ride. New items added: K & N superbike handlebars MotionPro foam grips Horn Engine Case Bolt Kit Ignition switch with two keys Complete clutch side switch assembly (turn signals and horn) Black, fully adjustable bar end mirrors Free flow air filters Jets Spark plugs Tachometer cable Fuel filters and fuel line Dunlop tires and tubes Shorty handlebar levers Kickstarter and shift lever rubber covers Rubber battery strap All invoices, as well as stock parts replaced will be included in the sale. Please, serious inquiries only. The bike is also being advertised locally. This rare bike will sell fast. $3,200.00 Please, no calls after 7:00 p.m. : 404-644-0789

1972 Yamaha R5 350 twin two stroke street bike, predecessor to the RD350, for sale. Matching numbers titled in my name. No carburetors, seat, gauges, fenders, or headlight. the rest is there but needs work and definitely some parts replaced to be really nice. I also have some extras - case cover, brake pedal, other gauges, and a second titled engine and frame for the right price and I probably have some other stuff. It ran before I took the carbs for another project, but second gear will need to be repaired/replaced as it pops out. Prefer pick up

Up for sale I am selling a RARE Vintage 1972 Yamaha Motorcycle that runs and drives. It has the matching VIN and motor numbers, R5-118771. Just put a new battery in it yesterday and started right up. The bike runs, drives, and shifts decent. Brings back a lot of memories from when I was a teenager riding bikes. Very fun little ride. This is a chance to own a very rare collector bike that runs and drives from the original owner. It has 10,199 miles on it. It does have a couple small dings in the fuel tank and the rear tail light has a crack as can be seen from the pics. It could also use a new seat. The bike comes with the key and owners manual. Chrome cleans up real nice. The bike is for pick up only. If you want to look at it prior to purchase please contact me ahead of time. Payment is due 48 hrs of auction end. The motorcycle is located in Osseo, WI. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking and dont forget to check out our other items here on Ebay.

We are selling a 1972 Yamaha CS5E 200 Street. AKA, the RD200 predecessor. The "E" stands for electric start. This bike has 895 original miles, and it has been preserved or restored where necessary to excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It got 2nd place in the April 2014 OC Vintage bike show in Huntington Beach, CA. Everything on it works, and it runs and rides great. It is a blast to ride...light, quick, and great handling. The bike starts easily with either the electric or kick start, and shifts through the 5 gears smoothly. The brakes are excellent..the front being the same size twin-leading show as on the contemporary R5 350. The auto lube system has new lines and is properly adjusted and works as it should. Some of the highlight of the work that has been done since 2013: Engine top end, carbs, electrical system and forks rebuilt and engine tuned by Mach 1 Cycles of Costa Mesa. Machine work was by Q&E machine, Santa Ana. Paint on tins by California Cycle Design in Costa Mesa. Chrome by Orange County Plating. The paint is base/clear coat, polished to perfection. The bike has many NOS parts, and a few select repro parts. NOS parts: Tank badges, pistons, rings, pins, fork seals, fork nuts, tach cable, brake cable, speedo cable, brake and clutch levers, footpeg, shift, and kick rubbers, and the stop switch. Repro parts include air cleaner boots, seat cover, blinkers, mirrors, and the rear shocks. Most people will look at the bike and think its like brand new and perfect, but it's not. While most of the chrome has been redone, the pipes and rear fender have not, and they have some light pitting. Those familiar with these vintage bikes will understand that it is 43 years old, and there are minor idiosyncrasies with its operation. Sometimes the engine stalls when shifting from neutral to 1st when it's cold, and sometimes neutral is difficult to select when hot. There is a small oil leak on the left side from either the clutch pushrod, or the shifter seals. The generator light comes on at idle, but goes away as soon as revs reach above idle. Charging system works perfectly. Rims are original and in great shape. The bike comes with the original rider's manual, factory service manual, and parts listing. Also included is a copy of the 1972 Cycle World road test article and original magazine advertisement for the bike. Clean title. You will not be disappointed with this beauty. For more info, call John at 770.447.6945 ext.20.

1972 Yamaha CS5 & 1975 Yamaha RD200 A Lovely Pair of Two-Strokes for Different Folks We are selling, as a pair, a 1972 Yamaha CS5 and a 1975 Yamaha RD200. What better than two classic Yamahas to explore the world around you? These are two very fine examples, different in their own rights, but ready to ride and make memories with. This would be an ideal "his and hers" setup. CS5 We are selling a 1972 Yamaha CS5E 200 Street. AKA, the RD200 predecessor. The "E" stands for electric start. RD200 This is an original-condition motorcycle with 1133 original miles. Tires replaced in 2014. Well-preserved for years in a garage, this motorcycle was just recently brought back to life by us at Blue Moon Cycle. After replacing the airbox boots and performing an ignition tune up and a carb adjustment, this little RD started right up. You will not find a motorcycle that's easier to start; it simply wants to GO. Take it home, ride it, show it off. These motorcycles are available for both viewing and pickup at our showroom in Norcross, GA. We also ship and crate within the U.S. as well as internationally. THE WIFE AND I HAVE ENJOYED MANY SHORT & LONG DISTANCE TRIPS ON THEM SINCE 2005. THEY SOUND GREAT GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY TOGETHER AT 65 MPH. I HAD TO REPLACE THE SPEEDOMETERS ON BOTH BIKES OVER THE YEARS, POSSIBLY DUE TO AGE. SO I CANNOT GUARANTEE THE EXACT MILES ON THEM. THE R5 SHOWED 15000 WHEN REPLACED, AND THE DS7 WAS AROUND 9000. I REPLACED THEM WITH USED I HAD PURCHASED. I HAVE TRIED TO EXPLAIN THESE 2 BIKES TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE AND THEY ARE BEING SOLD WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY BEING IMPLIED AND AS IS AND SHOWN. UNFORTUNATELY AGE HAS CAUGHT UP WITH US, AND THEY WILL BE MISSED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME. THANK YOU.
