This is a Taylar Motorbike build. It was finished December 8th, 2015. It is not a replica (copy) but a tribute (resembles) a 1914 Thor. This is as good as it gets with tribute cycles. NO PART of this was from a bicycle. It has 100% top of the line components.Powered by a very reliable Honda GC160 4 stroke motor (no mixing fuel) which has been internally upgraded.CVT Belt drive torque converter with upgraded bearings. (No shifting)Upgraded Mikuni carb Stainless Steel exhaust & manifold Custom balanced, milled and polished flywheelKnurled brass caps and machined knurled starter pulleyCustom head modification with Thor style lifter and push tube (polished)Thick wall steel tubing used on entire frame, stays and forks.Custom Thor fuel tank (internally vented) with tank toolboxThor style oiler (can use for storage) with door (keyed)Genuine handmade correct style MESINGER stamped leather seatCycle wheels with heavy duty FRONT and REAR drum hub brakes. (Not bicycle wheels)Period correct Diamond tread tiresThick custom made cables.Heavy duty motorcycle leversStainless Steel nuts/boltsSealed bearings throughoutHeavy-Duty drop stand & clipUtility rear rack / carrier3 piece cranks with sealed bearings and heavy plated block pedalsPowder coated deep Gray & Gloss Black. (10 times thicker and more durable than paint) This cycle has a lifetime registration and comes with a Ca license plate. It can be operated on the roads without a license. Unlike the 49cc 2 stroke bicycle engine, this will get you up to 50 MPH regardless of your weight (unless you're REALLY a fatty!) It has 3 times the torque and thumps like a motorcycle! If you are an interested party I would be happy to send you a very detailed description of all the components. Ebay only allows 12 pictures. If youd like a detailed shot of a particular component let me know. (I am selling this build ONLY. No parts or custom builds being accepted, sorry.) **Free TIP** If you are in the market for a street legal motor/pedal tribute cycle and you intend to ride it: BE SURE... 1. See pictures taken DURING the build before it was painted/powder coated (look at the quality) 2. Make SURE it wasn't made from a cut up Walmart bicycle then painted really cool (99% are!) 3. Don't get one with a Chinagirl 49/66/80cc 2 stroke motor, they are whimpy and sound like a toy. 4. Ask for detailed list of components used (frame, wheels, hubs, spokes, tires, pedals/cranks, steel, type of bearings, brakes, fittings, grade of nuts/bolts) 5. Stay away from sellers claiming they are the best. The best don't "sell themselves"; their customers do! Visit motorbicyling.com, tribute/replica websites & forums and they will let you know who that is. This is a 7 day auction, buy it now only. If cycle is not sold it will be on display at the Riverside Marriott show on Jan 9th. It can be purchased on site or delivery arrangements may be made with deposit. Come by and check it out before you buy! Local pick up-balance paid in person. Will ship at buyers expense once paid for. Ships from Ca 92504 $1000 to be paid (Paypal) immediately after auction complete. Balance to be paid within 14 days in person or by Cashiers Check if being shipped. Building our bikes in this manner truly gives each customer a ONE OFF CUSTOM ! Here for your consideration is one of our latest Tribute Replica. This bike was designed and built to be reminiscent of an early 1900's Indian board track racer. Done in Indian's traditional Red color with a "barn find" finish, completing the motif, look and feel of a vintage survivor. Completing a believable Rustic Finish is all about the details. Look close and your sure to see our attention to those details. From the frame design to the hand crafted fuel tank and Gold leaf logos. The extremely simplistic power plant is virtually maintenance free, only needing minor adjustments such as chain tension from time to time. Which is simply done with common hand tools. The great thing about this Moped style set up is that when you don't want to use the motor, bike functions just like an ordinary bicycle, and can go anywhere you wish to peddle it. When using the motor, bike can reach speeds up to around 35 mph, and with around 80 MPG the fun seemingly goes on forever. We pride ourselves in building our bikes not only to be eye catching art, but also to be completely functional and ride-able. Depending on the style, each one of our tanks hold at least 1 US Gallon, giving the rider a riding range under motor power of around 80 miles per tank. Each tank is hand crafted from scratch using high quality 16 gauge steel. Completely TIG welded and internally seal with a fuel tank sealer that protects the tank from internal rusting for years to come. As much fun as they are to ride, they are just as fantastic as a functional art peace for an office, den, or as that attention grabbing conversation piece for your/his man cave. They are also fantastic for promotional events or as an eye grabber for a store front. Have had a few customers order builds to be used as "PIT" bikes on track days, and other customers have ordered a few for RVing around the country. An example of a production based Indian racer, this motorcycle lacks a clutch, gearbox and brakes! Machines such as this Indian racer were push started to get the motorcycle rolling and were full throttle until the end of the race where the rider would cut out the magneto to stall the engine. Engine no. 41F092 The bicycle is expected to sell for between $40,000 - $50,000. THIS IS OUR SECOND STEVE MCQUEEN TRIBUTE OUR FIRST ONE SOLD FOR $4800 REED’S VINTAGE THROTTLE HAS BUILT A ONE OF A KIND TRIBUTE CYCLE TO ONE OF THE RAREST INDIAN RACERS EVER BUILT, OWNED BY THE “KING OF COOL”, THE LATE STEVE MQUEEN. We hope to educate our customers on the true functions, and style of the original Board Track Racer, by studying the history and detail of each board track racer from the early 1900’s. There are many video’s available of the original board track racers and the races that have made these rolling pieces of art so popular today. For instance there were NO BRAKES OR SUSPENSION! ( on front wheel or back) We try to replicate our racers as close the originals as possible, from our custom built frames, to the engines. Our bikes do have rear heavy duty brakes, for safety measures for today's rider. Please do your homework before buying a cycle from many who have saw the popularity and demand for these cycles and do not understand functionality or safety or even what a true “Board Track Racer was all about”! You need to pay close attention to detail of the mechanics and design, that what your investing in could be nice enough to not only be displayed BUT THAT WILL BE A FUNCTIONING EVERY DAY RIDER, IF NEEDED!! IF NOT, IT IS NOT A TRUE BOARD TRACK RACER TRIBUTE!!! Don’t invest in a cycle that someone bought a couple cans of rattle can spray, and bolted on a few parts and are calling it a Board Track Racer! REEDS VINTAGE THROTTLE HAS BEEN BUILDING CUSTOM BIKES SINCE 1971. WE STARTED BUILDING AND DESIGNING CUSTOM MOTORCYCLES AND ANTIQUE STYLE BOARD TRACK RACERS TO SHOW, WE EVIDENTILLY CAPTURED THE DESIGN WITH PEOPLE THINKING THEY WERE THE ORIG. BAORD TRACK RACERS .. …..FOLKS WANTED US TO BUILD THEM FOR SALE. We built everything from our BASIC MODELS TO A MORE EXOTIC CYCLE OR OUR EXTREME SERIES. Our goal was to design a cycle for every budget, from a every day rider, to totally custom extreme cycle, featuring many exclusive engine parts built and designed by us, for not only a more authentic look, more power and performance. OUR EXTREME SERIES FEATURES OUR PATENTED 180 INDUCTION ENGINE….WHICH THIS RARE 1914 INDIAN FEATURES. IT WILL TURN HEADS CAN ASSURE YOU!! WE ARE THE 2015 “EASY RIDER ****NATIONAL CHAMPIONS*****ANTIQUE BIKES AND PEOPLE’S CHOICE!!! THANKS TO ALL THE FOLKS WHO VOTED ON OUR BIKE FOR THEIR “PEOPLE’S CHOICE” AND TO EASY RIDER THEMSELVES FOR MAKING OUR BIKE # 1 AMONG MANY BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE BIKES AND TALENTED BUILDERS! THIS WAS A HUGE HONOR WHICH WE GREATLY APPRECIATE! We have been featured in V-Twin Magazine with one of our previous builds. Also one of our bikes was also chosen by the World Famous photographer Michael Licher to be photographed and featured in one of his articles. We have tried to do these rolling pieces of art justice and honor of the riders and companies who built them. It is something we take very seriously. So know that if interested in one of our racers, we have built many, have many repeat customers and YOU ARE GETTING WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! Unfort, many fly by nite sellers have popped up with racers and when looking at the quality of the cycle and the work it is apparent they do not know any of the history behind board track racing or the cycle dynamics itself. Nor do they apparently have any talent in bike building with all bolt on products, no actual custom building skills at all….just want a piece of the action in replicating American History for a quick buck….to be blunt. That is not what were are about at REED”S and our work STANDS FOR ITSELF. So just beware when buying a cycle and make sure it is from a reputable bike builder that has the love and passion of the art and history of the Board Track Racer!...and most of all knows WHAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING!! YOU CAN ALSO SEE OUR CYCLES ALL OVER THE INTERNET WHEN YOU SEARCH FOR "BOARD TRACK REPLICAS" OR REEDS VINTAGE THROTTLE. THERE ARE SO MANY FACTORS WITH THIS BUILD THAT YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN UNTIL NOW! NOT ONLY DOES THIS CYCLE ITSELF HAVE TRUE ONE OFF PARTS BUT . THE ENGINE IS A TRUE 80cc THAT HAS BEEN GONE COMPLETELY THRU WITH A SPEED BALANCED CRANK WITH HIGH SPEED BEARINGS AND NEW TOP GRADE CRANK SEALS. HOURS OF MACHINE WORK IN THE ENGINE CASE AND PORTING TO UNLEASH POWER THAT WAS BLOCKED BY BEING STOCK! ...... WITH OUR SPEED CRANK AND CONNECTING ROD BESIDE A STOCK CRANK WITH BUSHING INSTEAD OF BEARINGS LIKE OURS! THEN WE TUNED IT WITH A CUSTOM RACING CARB WHICH IS ALMOST TWICE THE M. M. SIZE AS A STOCK NT CARB. ON TOP OF ALL THAT. WE ADDED A RACING CDI AND COIL FROM MR. CRANK ALONG WITH A CUSTOM EXHAUST. THE FRAME IS ALL HEAVY DOME STEEL AND ALL METAL TANK. CUSTOM MACHINED SPROCKETS FRONT AND REAR. HEAVY DUTY SPOKES AND REAR BRAKES. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. WITH THIS CYCLE THERE IS MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE! THIS IS JUST A FEW THINGS THAT MAKES THIS CYCLE A TRUE ROLLING ART PIECE AND A REAL ONE OF A KIND!!! A NOTE "THIS IS COPY RIGHT LISTING AND IF COPIED IN ANY WAY . YOUR LISTING ON EBAY WILL BE REMOVED!******* PLEASE CONTACT US IF ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!*******WE DO AND ALWAYS OFFER SHIPPING ON ALL OF OUR CYCLES WITH INSURANCE 100% READY TO GO SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR! 1914 excelsior replica tribute for auction. This bike was a display project in my studio garage now ready to sell. the bike has a new powerplant 80cc two stroke motor kept stock for factory reliability and parts replacement if needed.the bike is comprised of both new and antique parts - all steel gas tank and upgraded sprocket adapter vintage kill and new rims and tires - finished in a barnfind paint patina replicated from the many antique displays at the Henry Ford museum in Dearborn, michigan.this is a nice boardtrack replica to obtain since real 1914 boardtrack racers are very far and few and very expensive.Design Studio always has a moto display that is changed every 30 to 60 days and favors bikes of the past. The bike has been started but not ridden.Just like my antique mototcycles they require tinkering - that is the mystique.the rear stand is included for display and bump starting.Last two photos are inspiration excelsiors. display or ride. I am selling a Taylar Cycles board track racer tribute cycle. It was just finished 6-12-2015. (Still awaiting some brass pieces which will be installed prior to pick up/shipping) This cycle is what is for sale. I do not have any parts or take orders for custom builds. Please contact Taylar Cycles directly for custom builds. If you are in the market for a Board Track Racer there are many choices. Tribute builds (made to emulate or look similar) are available everywhere and the price range for a decent one is about 4-8 thousand. There are a few "replicas" (not found on ebay) which range from 42-60 thousand. (We wont even mention the cost of a real one :) If you are looking at getting one of these for the look and do not intend to "ride" it save yourself the money and buy one of the others that started out as a $150 Walmart bicycle and have about $275 in cheap parts and a pretty paint job and stickers. They go for $1200-$2500 typically. Some look amazing. You are paying for the Artist's work, not a cycle that performs well on the road. My goal is to sell this. However, I will be more than happy to talk to you and answer any questions to help you make the right choice. (Even if not to buy this) If you are looking at getting one of these for the look and do not intend to "ride" it, save some money and buy one that was made from a Walmart bicycle. Some of them look really good. Taylar Cycles are made 100% from raw material. EVERYTHING used is the best. Thick wall steel, polished/plated parts, nuts/bolts graded for the vibrations, Sealed bearings, laser cut parts and the highest quality welds. Frame, Fork, Tank, Oilers, Toolbox, Dropouts all custom and done for the build. (Not bicycle) Wheels are built from relaced hubs for motorized use. Tires are diamond tread 26 x 2.35 with thorn resistant tubes. Chains used are for motorcycles. Front/Rear drum brakes, not a coaster brake intended to stop a 30 lb bicycle. Powered by a Honda GC160 4 stroke motor (no mixing fuel) that have been fabricated/dressed to look a little more correct and pretty. Special brass velocity stack, knurled fuel/oil/starter pulley. Torque converter with polished mounts and sealed bearings (no shifting). Very reliable and easy to operate. Sound is deep and thumps like the originals. Doesn't sound like a chainsaw. Much torque and can get you to 45-50 MPH regardless of your weight (Unless your 500lbs) These builds take 8-12 weeks to produce. No waiting on this one, she's ready to be picked up in Riverside, Ca or you can have her shipped to you. I am happy to answer any questions about this cycle through ebay or if you provide a phone number I can talk your ear off. Thanks

Bull cycles is proud to offer this fantastic custom built tribute bike. Created to pay homage the old board track racing days of Joe Merkel. The early board track racers are some of our favorite bikes, they are some of the most simplistic and yet captivating bikes ever built. We just love building these tribute bikes for enthusiasts and collectors alike, the amount of attention they generate continues to amaze us. Sitting next to high dollar custom motorcycle builds in our shop- people always seem gravitate to these bikes. We strive very hard to achieve a very aged distressed look to the bikes that makes everyone do a double take. Put on display these take on the role of a fantastic piece of art. Although it doesn't stop there... The bike we have here is our rendition of a 1913 Flying Merkel racer, the color is a beautiful eye popping orange, faithful to the originals, with hand cracked under-base and countless hours of detailed airbrush finishing to achieve that look of a well aged motorbike. Topped of with beautiful hand painted lettering. The finish is all sealed, and there is no actual oil or grease. No fuel odors, and it will not leak. Authentic style tires. Our own custom tig welded fuel tank, custom heavy wall frame. The bike is fully functional and is powered by a 66cc two stroke motor. The bike runs great and will travel about 30MPH at around 80 MPG. Operation is simple with easy pedal start, and twist throttle. Everything on the bike is steel or aluminum, all tig welded. Max rider weight is shy of 260lbs, our tallest guy in the shop is 6'3 and rides these around all the time. These are not built however to survive the rough life of the original board track racers of the day. Nor are they meant for racing (though we do all the time) These are just fun little powered bikes that are great for the pits, car shows, and neighborhood cruises. Park it outside the local Pub if you're feeling chatty. Just wildly fun affordable toys. Included with the bike is our own beautiful brass reproduction stand. Molded from originals, and cast here in the Midwest exclusively for us, they are great for display. Bull Cycles is a fully outfitted custom motorcycle shop. Our experience in custom fabrication from sheet metal, machining, welding, painting and design ensures the bike you are receiving is well built. We are a brick and mortar shop, and have been featured in magazines across the globe. Rest assured if there is an issue, there is someone to call. That being said if you plan on riding this bike on a daily basis, maintenance will be necessary. These bikes are fun and require little attention. Some understanding of adjusting chains, mixing fuel, and a few hand tools will be needed. These are not modern fuel injected machines. But again, we are here to help. Most of the board track racers we sell are used as display pieces in small museums, dealerships, private collections etc., but we have sold quite a few to people who just enjoy riding as well. In most states these are considered mopeds, and do not require titles or registration. I will ship the bike anywhere it can go. Please contact me regarding international shipping before buying. We have experience shipping around the world and have pretty good rates. Some countries are difficult to ship to, so please contact prior to purchasing. For US residents we provide flat rate shipping of $250, crated freight to your door. Payment must be made in full before shipping, and must be completed within 7 days of auction close. Paypal deposit (non refundable) of $300 must be made within 24 hours to secure the bike. I will help any way possible to get the bike to you, just ask. Please check my feedback, I have been an eBay member for 11+ years with 100% feedback. All our bikes feature a one year warranty on all parts against defect. If you have questions you can call our shop Mon-Fri 10-6 CST 630-482-BULL Thank you for taking a look from all of us at Bull Cycles.
