Time to part with my 74 BSA Chopper. This has been a project bike for 8 years. It's bounced around a few shops on the west coast for various work. It has a brand new engine. It's not titled and needs a few things done before it's roadworthy and safe to ride. It's 95% ready to ride. Here are some things I can remember it may need before riding: New tires, front brake, turn signals, valve cover gaskets and possibly a battery. The old British bikes were right foot shifter and left rear brake. A friend some years ago engineered linkage to convert to left shifter and right rear brake. This may need some alignment or just taken off. The bike is 9' long. It sits low to the ground. I'm a medium built guy and comfortable with the height. If you are over 6' tall the bike may be a little small for you. It has a custom built frame, coffin gas tank, octagon oil tank, custom upholstered King & Queen seat, wrapped fishtails, springer front end and more. This is a 12 volt dc, negative ground bike. You can put 10 harleys next to each other and everyone with checkout this 74 chopper. There's nothing like it on the road. The engine is a BSA A-65 650. Spent $4,300 restoring the engine with Countryside Cycles in Florida. Have about $10k into this bike. Fully restored could be worth twice that amount. Asking $6,850. To save us both time, serious inquiries welcome. Feel free to call with questions. Thanks for looking. 909-268-1500.

For sale is a classic BSA Thunderbolt that has been in the family since it was purchased from the factory in the late 1960's. Everything about this BSA is original and it only has 1148 miles with numbers matching from the frame to the engine. Last time this bike was on the road was in 1975, it has been safely stored ever since, and bike has started and ran within the past five years. Mechanically speaking this bike is in good shape, only repairs needed are minor touch up to the chrome trim due to slight pitting, and small rip to side cover of bike. I would love to keep this bike in the family but due to moving it has to go to a good home. Please message me with any question and I will get back to you ASAP Thank you

Nice original patina! 1971 RICKMAN METISSE WESLAKE 500cc BSA B44 Frame number: 1934 Engine number: 98246 As Tom White writes on motocrossactionmag.com: By the late 1950s, Englishmen Don and Derek Rickman had become world-class motocross riders, and with good design and fabrication skills, knew they could build something better. They soon introduced their Rickman Metisse (metisse is French for mongrel) chassis kit for British four-stroke engines. The Metisse pioneered such ideas as oil in the frame, fiberglass bodywork, narrow chassis width and nickel-plated Reynolds 530 tubing. The Rickman’s marketing plan was simple. The brothers would race the bikes on Sunday and sell them on Monday. After a winning weekend, the public would literally line up to buy the Rickman machines. Possibly the ultimate Rickman Metisse was the Mark IV Weslake BSA B44 powered machine. The BSA powerplant was small, originally starting out as a 250cc single-cylinder, but would prove both powerful and reliable, especially when the Weslake 500cc top-end was added. Top of the line chassis components like Ceriani forks and Girling shocks were used and lightweight Akront alloy rims completed the package. Rickmans weren’t just kit bikes. They were great bikes. The bike offered was found languishing in a private collection for many years. Properly stored in a dry environment with fluids drained it took very little to resurrect this rather special machine. The usual re-commissioning of brakes, suspension, carburetion and spark by a local marque expert was all it took. The engine has great compression, starts and runs easily. The bike is fast and handles well. The previous owner built the bike up to be a fun road-going machine with the addition of a rare Flanders headlight and a taillight, which has since been removed. It also sports a twin leading shoe front brake and a 19” wheel. The bike comes with a clean, clear California road title! This is a great opportunity to acquire a rare and fantastic icon of the dirt, in road-going trim!
