2007 Moto Guzzi California Vintage, California Vintage - An Italian custom bike for the US police. Thirty-five years have gone by, but the Moto Guzzi California continues to play a leading role in the collective imagination of motorcyclists throughout the world. In 1971 when the first model was introduced, the custom market was divided into the original US models and their imitations from the East. Moto Guzzi introduced a motorcycle with a strong personality based on the tried and tested frame of the V7 Special and the legendary 90 degree V-twin engine with a capacity of 757 cc. A winning combination which won international success, not least because it proposed a new way of motorcycling, in contrast to the exaggerated quest for performance. On a Guzzi California, you traveled - and you travel - in total relaxation. The seat, as comfortable as an armchair, enables you to enjoy the landscape protected from the wind in the shelter of the large windshield, fitted as standard together with the panniers, a clear sign of its vocation for travel. The California Vintage is, by design, reminiscent of the Moto Guzzi California Police motorcycles used by ( you guessed it) California Motor Officers in years gone by.It has the perfect blend of retro and modern; it seems perfectly proportioned and it's got loads of styleThe California Vintage uses Moto Guzzi's 1100cc 90° V-Twin, which is the company's signature design. The engine components in this year's California Vintage had undergone a redesign, lowering their weight and improving efficiency.Connecting rods and pistons were engineered lighter and the ratio between rod length and piston stroke was been improved to reduce inertia and vibrations. Touring is smooth and reliable, helped also by the modifications made to the valves. The sintered guides guarantee constant tappet gap and the Nymonic exhaust valves offer increased resistance to high temperatures and wear, extending the working life.The timing system is entrusted to the well-proven and reliable solution of mechanical tappets, the alternator has been upgraded from 300 to 350 watts and the flywheel has been modified. The construction of the crankshaft has been changed to achieve greater efficiency in terms of sliding and lubrication. The Brembo brakes use the distributed linked system. All bags -- panniers and trunk and sporran for a tank bag plus a windshield and clock make this a unique, awesome cruiserIts like riding a work of Italian art, a pleasure in its performance and pride in the smiles and nods of watchers.

This is a very nice bike, not perfect but very nice. The chrome is very good. Paint has a few small scatches mostly on top of side bag lids. Motor runs as it should, Tranny shifts as it should. Front tire is close to new, Rear tire is OK. The trunk is M.G. (made for this bike) and is brand new. Outer spark plugs are new, motor oil and rear end oil are new.Bike will be sold where is as is,no warranty.Buyer is responsable for pickup or shipping I am third owner. .As far as I know bike, paint, chrome is all original. $500.00 due by paypal 24 hours after auction has closed.The $500.00 be nonrefundable. Only reason I am selling this bike is that I have replaced it with a new, 2014 model of the exact vehicle which has been updated by Guzzi. I absolutely love this bike. It rides and handles like a sport bike, yet is comfortable on long hauls and can carry lots of stuff including your lady! I had the seat redone to accommodate my taller stature (I'm 6' 2" with 32" inseam and I can still be flat footed). I had the seat raised about 3" from stock as the original seat was a bit cramped. I also had a thick layer of gel put in the rebuild to add to the comfort. The real leather seat is buttery-soft and matches the original look...only better! Pipes were changed to open up the engine and has a nice Guzzi growl. Let me know if you have any questions...this is a solid road bike which is a joy to ride! $6,900.00 3216261215
