1955 ZUNDAPP KS 601 598cc. Also known as The Green Elephant. Restored nicely very close to original but not a museum grade. It is a matching number bike with a clean Florida title. A very dependable driver. I have won many awards at bike shows. Known for its durability it's a good solid bike that runs smooth and does not smoke. This rare bike has recently been mechanically restored. It had been stored inside since 1963. There are 7100 miles on it. All the parts are original to my knowledge. No modifications. The clear title states that it is a 1956 model, but the plate on the bike says it was manufactured in 1957. It is located near Pittsburgh. It was never abused and has been with second owner (us) most of its life. It is in fine condition, not show quality, but could be there with some TLC. If you are into classic bikes this could be a fun project or turn key get on it and ride. We have not ridden it but had it restored to ride by a reputable shop in Western PA for these sorts of things. Look them up in you like Hahn-Vorbach in Harmony, PA. We are not looking to go thru lots of haggling so asked a national expert on Zundapp to look at the photos and specs and price it for us. He knew whatever the details were about the specific model and where to price it. We are asking $8500 to start but money talks obviously.We cannot ship or transport it. You would have to come pay for it and figure out those details for yourself. It meant a lot to the owner and we hope someone buys it who appreciates it as much as he does but due to age cannot ride anymore.

Very few Zundapps survived the war making this mostly original example extremely rare. This machine was discovered in Italy by Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz and it was featured in two episodes of American Pickers, from the barn find in Italy to delivery to our store in Norcross GA.
